This is the white varient of the woodland strawberry. This is a very prolific plant. It blooms in late spring then the berries ripen in June. Soon after each plant puts out nearly 20 runners by the end of the season! This plus the fact that it will root directly into, and grow well in decomposing mulch make it a great candidate for groundcover that also produces delicious berries. The berries are ripe when they pull off the stem easily, and have a bit of a pineapple-y tropical flavor and a mild sweetness.
